MPS This Week: Sept. 11-15
The school year is off to an excellent start and we will be celebrating on Friday, when we hold our third annual district-wide "Back To School Bash." It's at MHS starting at 4:30 p.m. and leads into our football game against New Britain that kicks off at 6:30. Included will be a ceremony at 6 p.m. dedicating our outdoor sports complex in honor of the late Barry Mitchell, a beloved MHS security guard who died in January. There are more details below and we hope to see you there.
- Superintendent Matt Geary
Looking Good!
Waddell second-grader Calen Abbott is flanked by his moms (Joanna at left and Megan) as he reports to school. Why the tie? "That's just his thing," said Joanna, adding that Calen has been wearing a tie to school pretty regularly since he was a pre-kindergartner. We have dozens more first-day photos on the district Facebook page.
Of Notes
