English Language Arts Pre-K-12

English Language Arts (ELA) is at the core of our students' every day learning. Reading, writing, speaking & listening are some of the basic fundamental skills taught throughout grades Pre-K to 12. 

In Manchester, we have implemented the "workshop" model for reading and writing.  What is readers and writers workshop?

Fountas & Pinnell Sight Words (Grade K-1) - The Sight Words List includes the most frequently used words in the English language. Sight words make up 50 to 70 percent of any general text. Therefore, teaching The Sight Word List is a crucial goal of education. See below for each word list:
