“Better Manchester Magazine” Looks a School Renovations

The latest edition of “Better Manchester Magazine” includes a story about the upcoming renovation of the Cheney Building, which will soon be home to all fifth-graders in town.

Work on the Cheney Building has just begun and is scheduled to be complete when school opens in fall 2017, triggering a series of moves. Waddell Elementary will be renovated next as a K-4 school, followed by Verplanck, Bowers, Keeney, Buckley and Martin. If all goes as planned, by the year 2025 there will be closure to elementary infrastructure challenges that have troubled the town for the past 20 years.

Regularly published by the town’s Office of Neighborhoods and Families, this edition was produced in collaboration with the school district’s Office of Family and Community Partnership. The magazine is sent to  every household in town but you can see it now online.
