Homecoming Stunner: Freshmen Win Top Float!
The Class of 2019 won top honors at the annual Homecoming Parade on Friday, a surprise that had everyone talking throughout the weekend.
“They worked hard and got started on the very first day of school,” said Mike Beregeron, the freshman class advisor.
The other big story from the weekend was the crowning of the Homecoming king and queen at halftime of Friday night’s football game against Conard. Noah Richards and Rosanna Perez earned those honors and the entire court was introduced at Saturday night’s dance.
As for the game, MHS led at the half but gave up 31 points in the third quarter and lost 59-38. MHS QB Edison Galan threw four TD passes.
