WIN Scholarship

W-WIN is a professional organization of Westinghouse employees which focuses on working in the nuclear energy field and is part of the larger United States WIN organization (http://www.winus.org/). The mission of W-WIN includes establishing a framework through which women can further their professional development, promote public awareness about nuclear energy, and promote career interest in the STEM fields.  As a part of this mission, W-WIN works with education centers and community organizations to promote STEM careers.  We recognize that in order to increase diversity in the STEM fields, we must foster diversity in the undergraduate population.  Specifically, one of our activities this year is to award W-WIN STEM Scholarships to female students graduating from high school in Hartford County, and planning to pursue a STEM major.  We will be giving out three scholarships ($500, $300, and $200).  Therefore, we are writing to request your approval to share this scholarship opportunity with your students.
